AVIF to JPG Converter
AVIF is winning the web, but upload forms, email systems and older apps still live in a JPG world. This converter decodes .avif locally in your browser and exports a standard JPG — pick a quality, check the size, download something that opens anywhere. Your file never leaves the device.
JPG is the format every system of the last 25 years accepts, so converting AVIF to JPG removes the compatibility question for upload portals, print shops and legacy editors. The quality slider defaults to 90 — visually identical to the source for typical photos.
Heads-up on transparency: JPG has none. Transparent AVIF graphics flatten to white; use PNG output if the see-through areas matter.
AVIF is more efficient, so the JPG is usually somewhat larger than the source. That's the trade for universal support — and if the destination has a size limit, pair this with the compressor's target-size mode.
JPG is lossy, but at the default quality of 90 the difference is visually undetectable. Raise quality to 100 before converting if you want maximum fidelity.
They flatten onto white — JPG has no alpha channel. Switch the output to PNG to keep transparency.
AVIF compresses more efficiently than JPG. The larger file buys compatibility with software that will never parse .avif.
Renaming changes the label, not the bytes — the file remains an AVIF that incompatible apps still can't decode. A real conversion re-encodes the pixels into actual JPEG data.
